Transcom Barrie in Canada supports the Big Bike ride for Heart & Stroke

In May, the Transcom team in Barrie (Ontario, Canada) took part in their 4th Big Bike ride for Heart & Stroke, raising a grand total of $1985.00 for a very worthy cause.

The Big Bike is a team event geared towards community organizations, companies, and groups. Our 30-seat Big Bike was piloted by a driver from the Heart & Stroke foundation, and powered by 29 enthusiastic riders from Transcom. Together, they pedaled approximately 2 kilometers in the spirit of Transcom Cares, and in support of heart disease and stroke research.

Adding to the uniqueness of the event, this year’s team rode their Big Bike around Georgian Downs raceway. Although they posed no threat to the track record of 1 minute and 49 seconds, despite the overwhelming advantage of their extra legs, the Heart & Stroke foundation was the big winner, with a great night had by all.

Since 2011, the team in Barrie has raised an astounding $11,000 for Heart & Stroke foundation through their participation in the Big Bike event. Many thanks to Teresa, Trish, and Ashley for volunteering their own time to make the event a success, and to Mallorie for being our top fund raiser this year.Awesome job, team!

Transcom Lima celebrates its 2nd anniversary!

Two years have passed since we started our operations here in Lima. During this time we have enjoyed learning experiences that have helped us to support the teams’ growth and consolidation. We know that our journey has just begun, and that we’ve got a long road ahead of us, but we are optimistic since growth in recent months has become increasingly apparent.

During the last weekend in November, we organized an activity to celebrate our anniversary, in which all the Lima staff participated. The day started early creating teams to compete in various activities throughout the day.

Transcom Lima teams

We started with a funny gymkhana composed of different games, followed by volleyball and soccer competitions. We wish to congratulate the blue team as it was the clear winner in all the activities!

Enjoying a full day of activities

After the games, we all shared a nice lunch together. During the lunch, Alejandro Menjura (Regional Director,Transcom Latin America), Luis Cucalón (HR Manager, Transcom Lima), and myself, as Contact Center Manager, proceeded to thank all employees, encouraging them to continue working with the same high level of commitment.

Transcom Portugal celebrates its first ten years!

Transcom Portugal celebrated its 10th anniversary this year!

Transcom Portugal was established in 2003 with approximately 200 employees serving a single client. Since then, we have added many new clients in various industries. Our team has worked closely together, always with the objective of delivering great customer experience and solid operational results for our clients. We are grateful for our clients’ trust in us, which has allowed us to grow and develop together over the years.

10 Aniversary Transcom Ribeirao

Since we made this 10-year journey together, we couldn’t imagine celebrating in any other way than as a team. The celebration of our anniversary had to be a meaningful and unforgettable team moment. We invited all of our employees to help decorate the site and we surprised everyone with a Lip Dub activity, ending with the traditional anniversary cake. All Transcom Portugal team members received the DVD as a souvenir!

Finally project launch!

This month, several weeks of training, hard work, focus, concentration and learning new things came to an end with one goal in mind: Creating Oustanding Customer Experience!

During the training-period, our fantastic employees really demonstrated their potential. For the first time since the start-up of this project in the late summer, we are now testing our ability to deliver as agreed.

Monday morning at 7:30 a.m., the Quality Manager and Sales Team Leader served breakfast in the call center to get a healthy and flying start. And that was exactly what we did. During the first week, we were in full production state according to plan. Looking at what was accomplished during the week, it is clear that the training period was successful. I would also like to use this opportunity to highlight the enthusiasm, motivation and dedication shown by our Agents selected for this project – without them we wouldn’t have been able to create this success together!

As Training & Quality Manager for Norway, I must say that I’m looking forward to following up on this team and the project. I’m quite sure that the interesting approach to training and the team’s innovative thinking will yield good results leading to… Of course: Outstanding Customer Experience!

Two Wheels – One Transcom!

It’s becoming a great tradition at Transcom Vilnius to participate in the annual bicycle marathon – “Velomaratonas” – which is the largest cycling event in Lithuania.

Cycling is becoming more and more popular in Vilnius – thus this is a great way to get into the Transcom team spirit, get some exercise and get together with your colleagues outside of the office surroundings – while helping to promote this environmentally friendly mode of transportation in our city.

It was nice to see all sorts of people joining this year’s team. United under a slogan “Two wheels – one Transcom” we had CSR’s, Team Leaders, HR and BST personnel, Business Managers, etc.

All team members successfully finished the full distances of 30 km or 20 km, competing against over 7000 other cyclists.

After finishing the amateur stage – we also had a chance to get together, share our experiences, and watch the professional stage of the event. The overall mood was great throughout the day, a lot of smiles, enthusiasm and team spirit.

We will definitely participate next year.

I could not be more proud of our team – go team Transcom!

Breaking barriers: Transcom incorporates six visually impaired agents in Chile

Within the framework of the Agora project and in collaboration with local and national Chilean authorities, Transcom has launched the selection, training and incorporation of people with visual impairment in its center in Concepción, Chile. So far, we have hired six blind officers.

Currently performing back-office tasks, the new agents are working in an environment suited to their abilities and under the same conditions as their peers. They have all adapted perfectly to their roles and are contributing to a more open and inclusive work environment that transcends their own team.

In the words of Andrea Santibañez, head of HR at Transcom in Chile, “this project is proving successful and we intend to repeat the experience in the future, both at our center in Concepción and in Valdivia. In fact, Transcom has been present in the I Employment for people with disabilities Fair, which took place during the month of April, providing information about the company and receiving resumes”

Transcom’s initiative has been well-covered in local press and TV.
