Employer branding campaign in Poland – Proud to be a part of Transcom

“My name is Monika. While working at Transcom I realized that a perfect team is a perfect recipe for success. Transcom is perfect for work and for fun.”

proud to be a part of Transcom

In March, Transcom’s Polish HR Team in Gdańsk and Olsztyn came up with a unique employer branding campaign to reach a wide range of potential candidates. During the next three months, there will be billboards with photos of Transcom employees presenting their hobbies and the advantages of working at Transcom. The billboards are located on the way to the main universities, so that the best talents will be reached.

The aim of this campaign is not only to attract new members to our team. We would also like to positively influence people’s opinion about call centers in Poland, emphasizing our role in developing and empowering people.

Transcom’s 2013 annual report

Today, Transcom published its annual report for 2013. I am very pleased that our key operational performance indicators continued to improve during the year, with a positive impact on profitability. At the same time, we continued to grow our revenue at a healthy rate.

In 2013, we also launched Transcom Cares as our global CSR governance program in order to ensure that we meet the expectations of all our key stakeholders. Three focus areas make up the foundation of the program: people development, equality & diversity, and community engagement.

I invite you to read more about our activities and performance during 2013 in the report, which you can find below and also on our website. This year, we wanted to provide you with a bit more material on the characteristics of our industry and our business model. We have included a couple of client cases, exemplifying how we add value together with our clients. You will find this material on pages 8-19.

Let me also take this opportunity to thank all our employees for your hard work and strong commitment, which were very important to our achievements in 2013. I am looking forward to another busy and successful year in 2014.

On the 27th of February, we officially opened our new site in the city of Cali!

Officially opening TWW Colombia

We currently employ 400 people in Colombia, a figure we expect to increase over time. Isabel Sánchez Lozano, CEO of Transcom Iberia and Latin America, and Alejandro Menjura, director of Transcom Latin America, hosted the opening.

In her welcome speech, Isabel Sánchez Lozano said that:

“The new center is the most advanced in the region, with five fully-equipped training rooms, relaxation areas, back-up generators, equipped with the most modern technology, redundant communications connected to all Transcom centers globally, and a long list of advanced telephony and multi-channel solutions.”

Opening TWW Colombia

Isabel praised the work of all who were involved in the center’s launch, achieving it in record time. Moreover, in the opening event, the Mayor of Santiago de Cali, Doctor Rodrigo Guerrero Velazco, made a welcoming speech heralding our potential for growth as a new company in his country. Then we proceeded to cut the ribbon, allowing our guests to visit our facilities, where we showed them a special video made for the occasion.

We were also honored by the presence of Thomas Andersson, National First Officer of Trade from the Swedish embassy in Colombia. Media, television and radio covered the event and interviewed our Directors during the opening cocktail.

Notable among the media were: Noti 5, 90 minutos, Canal 2, Cámara Veedora, Cali tv, and Todos en Familia. They all broadcasted live news of the event, creating a huge impact throughout the region.

Transcom at CCW 2014 to showcase how we improve our clients’ business performance

The Call Center World (CCW) is the largest event of the customer service, communication and call center business in Europe. This year’s edition took place in Berlin from 17th to 20th of February. 7600 visitors and customer service experts attended the fair to exchange knowledge, take part in interesting discussions and get informed about the latest innovations in the call center industry. Of course, Transcom could not miss such an important event in the European region. An enthusiastic group of colleagues from Transcom sites in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands proudly represented Transcom at our booth to present our services and the outstanding customer experience we deliver every day to our clients’ customers.

Janine Jakobi, Business Manager and Michael Steinhilb, Team Leader from Transcom Rostock at CCW in Berlin.

The aim was to inform the market about our value proposition by showcasing how Transcom uses the synergies that derive from our global approach and presence to improve our clients’ business performance. In all our sites worldwide, we leverage our ability to replicate best practices and operating models in every industrial sector in order to exploit our global synergies without sacrificing local flexibility and customization. To achieve these targets, we continue to invest in innovations. We have formed strategic partnerships with the main players in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) market to ensure that our clients have access to the most comprehensive multi-channel communication platforms available. As a result, we can fully satisfy all mobile access needs through traditional and social channels. Then, we focus all the activities on our main objective: to help our clients improve their business performance and customer experience. Their goals are our goals.

Transcom Denver supports local Children’s Hospital

Transcom’s office in Denver is located right across the hall from the radio station Alice 105.9.
From February 12-14, Alice 105.9 broadcasted live from the Children’s Hospital Colorado Boettcher Atrium and shared stories from kids and families treated in the Children’s Hospital Network. Alice’s 36 Hours for Kids Radiothon is one of the hospital’s biggest fundraising events of the year.

We at Transcom Denver were happy to support our office neighbors and donated some money from our Transcom Cares funds to support the local Children’s Hospital.
This year the Radiothon raised a record-breaking $1.87 million!

Slacker and Steve who are one of Denver’s most popular D.J. Duos were kind enough to come over and take a picture with some of our Denver based employees.

Talking about motivation at Transcom at ExpoRH in Portugal

ExpoRH is the biggest annual HR event in Portugal and this year’s event attracted 2,500 delegates. The conference lasts for two days and covers different aspects and trends within human resources.

This year, Transcom was invited to talk about our experience and practices, together with companies such as Microsoft, Bosch, Henkel, McDonalds, Samsung, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson, among others.

On the theme “Is employee motivation based on monetary rewards? Is it possible to motivate with non-monetary factors?” we shared our experience on how we keep our people motivated in a workplace were around 80% of business is based in outbound sales, which is the case at Transcom Portugal.

Talking about motivation Transcom Portugal

In fact, there are no big secrets. We inspire our agents to run that extra mile that makes Transcom different from our competitors by using:

  • Transcom’s three values – Passion, Excellence and Innovation
  • Adding attainable but challenging goals
  • A fair and transparent evaluation method
  • Continuous support
  • Creating a dynamic environment and moments of fun
RHExpo Portugal

A selection of different motivation activities we had during 2013.

Altogether, these tools are an important reason why Transcom reached the record score of 93% in employee satisfaction in 2013.

Our “external medal” was received when Mercer’s Marsh Benefits speaker mentioned  that happiness is in the end the most important thing in life and maybe the most difficult one to achieve in an organization and stated:

Transcom knows how to make their people happy!

And this quote and recognition made us at Transcom Portugal very proud and happy!
