Swedish Quality Index – our client wins best customer service award!

SKI

This is the fifth consecutive year that we win the best customer service award together with one of our communications sector clients and this is really great! This client project is handled at our Karlskoga contact center and Transcom has served this client since 2003.

We are very proud to retain the title and we will continue to work even harder to ensure that we win again next year.

Of course, we celebrated with cookies and candy!

Help us make them smile. Donate now.

By now, many of you, if not all, are aware that last November 8, 2013, the Philippines, specifically its Visayas Region and some other southern provinces of the country, was hit by Super Typhoon Haiyan (Philippine local name Yolanda).

One of the main islands to experience the wrath of the typhoon is the Eastern Visayas province of Leyte.  Its capital, Tacloban, continues to struggle with the aftermath of the natural disaster with more than 10,000 people presumed dead and/or missing,  and with limited or still no relief and medical aid given.

Neighboring provinces, towns and cities have fewer casualties but likewise suffer to a certain degree from the shortage of assistance because of the blockage of access roads and the disconnection of any form of communication lines.

The Filipino Spirit of cooperative and concerted effort, more popularly known as bayanihan,  to help especially in times of need, immediately ignited after the disaster struck, and the entire country mobilized their individual activities to help the fellow countrymen.

Transcom Philippines, having 10,000 employees, has also commenced a donation drive to actively collect food items and clothes to send to the affected area.

You have to know a Filipino to appreciate how they think and act. There is never a bad time in their books. They count their blessings every day and rise to the various challenges with a smile on the face. The resiliency they show during adversity is second to none.

As an international organization that is very proud of our Filipino colleagues for the way they contribute and support Transcom, it is time we showed some gratitude in return and show them we are a good corporate citizen of this world.

I send you this note  to request from your generous hearts to help our colleagues in the Philippines help their fellow countrymen during this disaster.

We have chosen to partner with Red Cross in the Philippines to send our donations so that they can use the funds to help those in dire need.

Please find details below on how to make a donation to the Red Cross:

I know I am not alone when I say this. Our employees in the Philippines made us who we are and we are eternally grateful for their contribution. This is our small way of saying THANK YOU,  PHILIPPINES and we are very proud of you.

Let’s help rebuild this nation, make it rise again, and continue to pray for all those whose lives were lost and those who continue to suffer, knowing that this too shall pass.

Thank you on behalf of the Filipino employees of Transcom.  Maraming salamat po.

Thank you,

Siva Subramaniam

Transcom Portugal celebrates its first ten years!

Transcom Portugal celebrated its 10th anniversary this year!

Transcom Portugal was established in 2003 with approximately 200 employees serving a single client. Since then, we have added many new clients in various industries. Our team has worked closely together, always with the objective of delivering great customer experience and solid operational results for our clients. We are grateful for our clients’ trust in us, which has allowed us to grow and develop together over the years.

10 Aniversary Transcom Ribeirao

Since we made this 10-year journey together, we couldn’t imagine celebrating in any other way than as a team. The celebration of our anniversary had to be a meaningful and unforgettable team moment. We invited all of our employees to help decorate the site and we surprised everyone with a Lip Dub activity, ending with the traditional anniversary cake. All Transcom Portugal team members received the DVD as a souvenir!

Diversity of cultures and languages enables us to deliver the best service to our clients’ customers

We employ over 650 people at our Madrid center, serving a major player in the Spanish financial sector with a strong international presence. For this client, Transcom manages customer care using traditional communication channels (phone, mail, fax…), but we also handle an increasing demand for Internet Banking services and chat, as well as the newest and booming channel: contacts via various social networks.

Every month, Transcom manages several hundreds of thousands of customer contacts in these different channels.

Because of our client’s significant global presence, Transcom has established a sizeable multilingual team over the past few years in order to communicate with and serve customers in different languages, including co-official Spanish languages such as Galician, Basque and Catalan. We also have the capability to serve international customers in various other languages.

International team at Transcom

For example, we have a large group of employees who are fluent in the most widely used languages, such as English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. Many of them are native speakers, which gives our center a nice blend of nationalities and cultures, further enriched by our large team of Latin American agents.

Halloween at Transcom Norway

This year we went all in again and, as the tradition dictates, we celebrated Halloween at Transcom in Norway. Our office was full of creepy decorations, and candy was handed out to everyone.

On a sugar high, we offered the best customer service to all our customers, as always. We also organized a lottery with great prizes.

The employees came dressed in both scary and funny costumes. All in all, this was a successful day which I believe gave some extra motivation.

We also named the best outfits at the end of the day, and the winners received gift certificates for both shopping and mini cruises. You can see some of the costumes below:

We hope that the rest of Transcom also had a tremendous Halloween celebration. With horrid greetings from Transcom Norway.
